Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.

Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure as hell never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

One thing is for certain, being married to rock and roll’s favourite son is sure to be a wild ride.

~~ 4.5 Stars ~~

This was my first book by Kylie Scott and I have to say it won’t be my last.  I really enjoyed this book.  I can’t wait to read the others in this series.  I loved that even though this is a series each book can be read as a standalone.  (Each book will be about a different band member). I really liked Kylie’s writing style.  I thought the story flow effortlessly.  Although I think I would’ve liked it even more had it been from David’s POV or in dual POV.  There were things I wish I would’ve had David’s thoughts on.

This book will totally grab you right from the start.  I couldn’t put it down after reading the first couple pages.  I loved how this book started and it kept my attention all the way through.  I loved that this story felt real and believable.  The characters were easy to relate to and their reactions seemed realistic.  I also thought the steamy scenes were extremely tastefully written.  You could feel David and Evelyn’s passion but it wasn’t tacky or over the top.  I loved how the author created their relationship throughout the whole story.  We got to see them grow together.  This book didn’t have a lot of drama in it and what there was , was over fairly quickly.  I did enjoy seeing that after David’s f*** up! Evelyn didn’t just forgive him right away.  She actually made him work for it and prove she would come first.

I really liked Evelyn’s character, she was down to earth and very loving.  I liked that these characters weren’t completely broken, yes they had some issues but nothing too bad.  David, I didn’t like a whole lot in the beginning.  He did grow on me as the story moved along and we got to see the sweeter side of him.  He did have some really swooning times.  David and Evelyn definitely had chemistry.  They also made me laugh at times too.

I enjoyed meeting all the other band members and I think it will be interesting to see what each if their stories bring.  I also liked Lauren and Nate.

If you are looking for that Rock and Roll love story without a lot of drama but a great story built in, then this is it.  I would definitely recommend this book!!!
