What’s sexier than a bad boy? A bad ass man who’s got his shit together.
Max Alexander is nearing thirty-five. He’s built a successful company, and he’s conquered the professional world, but he’s never been lucky in love. Focusing so much time on his business and raising his daughter, adulting has come at the expense of his personal life.
His social skills are shit, his patience is shot, and at times, his temper runs hot.
The last thing he has time for is the recently single, too gorgeous for her own good young woman he hires to take care of his little girl. She’s a distraction he doesn’t need, and besides, there’s no way she’d be interested. But you know what they say about assumptions?
This is book 3 in the Roommates series, but each book can be read as a complete standalone as they all feature new couples to fall in love with.

~ 5 Single Daddy Stars ~
I absolutely LOVE a single dad story!! They have to be my favorite. So of course that makes The House Mate my favorite book so far in Kendall Ryan’s The Roommate Series.
The House Mate is the third standalone novel in this series. It is told from Dual POV. Each of these books in this series are complete standalone novels and don’t have any overlapping characters or storylines. So it doesn’t matter in what order you read them. Now with saying that….I would recommend that you read them ALL!!! This is one of Kendall’s best series yet.
All these books are fun, easy, and truly entertaining reads. And don’t worry there is plenty of sexy times in this book. I love that there isn’t a whole lot of drama in this book. Just a little outside force trying to stir up some stuff, but luckily it is all over fairly quickly. I will say that I thought the Tiffany storyline was left open. I would’ve liked more closure when it came to her. But over all this is a truly enjoyable read. Perfect for a lazy day in the sun 🙂
The House Mate is a single dad storyline with a hint of the forbidden aspect. Being that the nanny is hooking up with her boss. In this book we meet Max and Addison. Max is a single guy who owns a construction business and has always loved the single life and has no ambition to settle down. He is focused on his business and not finding a wife. That all changes when his ex Jenn shows up out of the blue and drops Dylan in his lap. Dylan is his 1 year old daughter. And her mom Jenn just can’t do it anymore and takes off. Leaving Max scrambling to figure out what to do. This is where Addison comes in. She is a young girl who has had her heart broken by her ex Greg and is living with her BFF Lara. Determined to turn her life around she answers an ad in the paper for a nanny. What happens from here is a journey of two people. One who needs to learn to trust again and the other learning to eon his heart and life to new people. Will Addison and Max cross that line and find their HEA?? Read The House Mate to find out.
As with most of Kendall’s books, she is the master of giving her readers a slow build with kindle melting sexual tension. But it is always worth the wait. I thought the pace and flow of this story worked well.
If you need a book to just escape into a world that will make you swoon and your kindle melt, then you need to read this book!! If you are a fan of the single dad romance book, this is one of the best ones I have read. I can’t say it enough….It was truly entertaining. If you are a fan of Kendall’s books you don’t want to miss any of this series!!! They are a MUST READ!!!!
