Blushing Babes Are Up All Night

Armed with two years’ worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything. Except dying in Dublin.  Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude.

Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. No one was supposed to get hurt. But then that American tourist showed up. He couldn’t let her die, but he also couldn’t risk being identified at the scene—so, he ran. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub.  Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations. When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him.  And how dangerous it is to have her around. Chasing her off would be the smart move.

Maybe it’s because he saved her life, or maybe it’s because he’s completely different from everything she’s left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone.

And River isn’t the kind of guy she’d want to catch.

~ 5 Irish Stars ~

What an EXCELLENT addition to this already addictive series!!!

I can honestly say I think this is my favorite book of the series so far, with Burying Water (Book 1) coming in a close second. I don’t know what really makes this book my favorite, except maybe because it is based around another country, Ireland, which I am always fascinated with.

This was just a wonderful journey between to unlikely hearts finding each other and making it work. A love story between a lowly Irish peasant bartender who falls in love with a beautiful American princess.

As usual, K.A. Tucker has given us a complex yet sweet and romantic story. She gives us just enough drama and suspense to keep the pages worth turning, but the characters she created in this book were captivating enough also to keep me interested. I love K.A.’s writing style and I loved the amount of time and research that went into this book. I have always be fascinated with Ireland and after reading this story I totally want to go visit that country!!!! I had a very hard time putting this book down, I was constantly cursing everyday life, because it kept getting in my way of reading this book….LOL 🙂

Chasing River is the third book in K.A. Tucker’s Burying Water series and it is the story of River Delaney and Amber Welles.

Amber (who is Jesse’s sister from Book 1) is a 25 year old woman who still lives at home and is desperate to get out and travel the world. So after saving her money for 2 years she sets sail on a European Vacation. It’s when she gets to Ireland that things turn crazy for her. Amber is almost killed by a pipe bomb but is saved by a stranger her tackles her to the ground, but before she can say thank you or find out who he is, he runs away. As you can guess that stranger was River.

River is a 24 years old bartender who runs his family’s pub. He has two brothers, one who is older and always getting into trouble, and one who is younger, who is on the straight and narrow. River will do anything to protect his older brother, which is why he runs from Amber after saving her. Amber sets out to find her saviour and thank him. Once they meet again the sparks fly. I loved watching these two characters interact. I thought the pace that the author took their relationship was perfect. It totally felt natural and believable. I don’t want to give too much away, so I’ll just say, READ this book!!! You won’t be sorry!!!

I was happy to see we got more of Alex and Jesse in this book. I also liked Ivy. I think her story is going to be an interesting one. I look forward to reading Surviving Ice.

K.A. Tucker is still one of my favorite New Adult authors. I find that I will read anything she writes and I am never disappointed. I look forward to when she releases new books .

And don’t forget BURYING WATER and BECOMING RAIN, the first two books in this thrilling series…
