Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000035_00027]I loved him more than life.

He broke me and he didn’t even know it.

I ran from him.

He didn’t chase me.

He never needed to, because he knew I’d come back.

He was right.

Death brought me home to him.

Brett Walker.

Drop dead gorgeous and filthy-mouthed with a smile that turns saints to sinners.

A casanova to his core.

My ex-best friend.

And the bad boy whose reputation precedes him—the same reputation I’m tasked with turning to gold… Or so they think.

~ 3.5 Casanova Stars ~

I know I will probably be in the minority when it comes to Casanova, but I have to be honest and say this isn’t my favorite Emma Hart book.

I don’t really know why I didn’t love this book, I just found it hard to connect to this storyline and characters.

Now don’t get me wrong….I did enjoy this book but it just didn’t WOW me like her books usually do. I would also recommend this book to anyone who loves a second chance romance or a friends to lovers type story. Emma Hart will always be an automatic read for me. I love her writing style and that she gives us interesting storylines.

Casanova is a standalone novel…..and I think it is her longest book to date. This story is told in Dual POV. I personally feel there were some parts that could’ve been left out, which in turn would’ve moved the story along a little faster. I felt it dragged at times and that made it hard to hold my attention.

As I said before this is a second chance romance with an enemies to lovers type theme. Lani and Brett knew each other from their childhood. They were best friends until something happens and Lani leaves for college without saying a word. Now 8 years later Lani is back in her hometown for a funeral and to help her pregnant sister. Brett was destroyed when Lani left without a word and turned into someone he truly wasn’t. Having bad press for Brett is not something his family wants, so they hire Lani to help clean up Brett’s image. What will happen when Lani and Brett see each other again?? Will these two be able to patch things up?? Can they find love again with each other?? What will happen when Brett’s big secret is revealed?? Will Lani forgive him?? Find out the answers and more by reading this book.

I loved the secondary characters that Emma introduced to us in this story. Connie, Camille and Raven were important to this story in their own way. I look forward to reading each of their books as well….(If they get one)

So YES….I would recommend this book to all Emma Hart’s fans and to anyone who is a fan of a second chance romance or a enemies to lovers type story. Just because I couldn’t connect with the characters very well and it wasn’t a 5 star read for me, doesn’t mean you won’t love it. Give it a try!!!!

1p0a9045By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to two beautiful little monsters. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of whatever she fancies – usually wine – and writes books.

Emma is working on Top Secret projects she will share with her followers and fans at every available opportunity. Naturally, all Top Secret projects involve a dashingly hot guy who likes to forget to wear a shirt, a sprinkling (or several) of hold-onto-your-panties hot scenes, and a whole lotta love.

She likes to be busy – unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.
