From Cindy Miles, bestselling new adult author of STUPID GIRL, comes the next installment of her blockbuster Stupid in Love series – STUPID BOY.

Brax Jenkins and Olivia Beaumont are the most envied couple at Winston University—but the so-called “virginity dare,” orchestrated by Brax’s old fraternity, almost tore them apart. Now, a new dare is taking shape, and it’s sure to set emotions ablaze–more than ever before.

Winston’s “It Girl” Harper Belle isn’t just president of the Deltas–she’s also a master at keeping her ugly past a secret. So, when the Kappas’ dare hits closer to home for her more than anyone realizes, she devises a competition of her own as payback. Three sorority sisters will seek out a notorious womanizer on campus and–unbeknownst their “mark”–secretly train him to be the perfect boyfriend. Always up for a challenge, Harper targets the biggest player she can find: Brax’s wickedly handsome foster brother Kane McCarthy.

But, Harper discovers there’s much more to Kane than girls, games, and partying. His easy smile belies the quiet, old soul reflected in his deep brown eyes. All it takes is one night, one secret laid bare, and one kiss from Kane to shift Harper’s world on its axis. Suddenly, the girl who’s always walked a straight and narrow path can’t think of anything else except losing control.

~ 4 Reformed Stars ~

Kane and Harper were two college aged people who were inexplicably drawn to each other. One chance meeting, a lonely boy asking for directions, led them to each other. On the outside they were two completely opposite people, but truly they were more a like than either one could’ve guessed. Two broken souls just trying to find their place in the world.

Stupid Boy is the 2nd book in Cindy Miles Stupid in Love series. I guess you could say it is a companion novel to book 1 Stupid Girl. The two books are about two completely different couples, but Olivia and Brax do play a big part in this book too. This is NOT a continuation of Olivia and Brax’s story, but a new story involving Kane (Brax’s Foster Brother) and Harper.

Like in Stupid Girl, this book is based upon a “dare”. Harper has this idea that she wants to get revenge and restitution for Olivia for what the Kappas did to her. The Kappas have this yearly tradition to come up with a “dare” and in turn, to humiliate some unsuspecting young girl. Well Harper has had enough and wants to get back at them. Which comes to her idea of three of her sorority sisters finding a “bad boy” and reforming him. Harper choose to be a part of the dare and her subject is Kane. Not knowing that she would eventually fall for him.

This book is so much more than a story about a dare and getting revenge. There was another storyline that played a part in Kane and Harper’s story, that honestly I thought the dare actually took a back seat in this book and really didn’t need to be a part of this book. I think this book could’ve been 5 stars for me had the dare aspect of the story not been there. The other plot was so much more intriguing and heartbreaking. This book was filled with so much emotion. I was laughing at one moment and then crying when I turned the page. I thought Cindy did a great job at connecting the reader to her characters. I truly felt sad for both Harper and Kane. What both of these characters went through was heartbreaking. What I loved watching was these two slowly grow to trust each other and fall in love. I felt the pace of their relationship was perfect and believable. I also thought the pace of the story was great…nowhere was there a time I thought the story dragged or that the information that was given was not needed. The questions that were created during the story were all answered by the end of the book. I am really hoping that Harper and Kane play a part in the next book, so we get to see them living their HEA.

I enjoyed seeing Brax and Olivia again in this book. It was nice seeing them being happy and together. I also liked their connection to Kane and the support they gave both Harper and Kane. I liked Murphy and I thought she was a perfect friend to Harper and a great secondary character, but I didn’t get why the author made her english. Plus her english vocabulary came off as more Irish to me than English. I don’t know, maybe it was just me and I am being picky, but I would’ve rather seen Murphy be from the states and just a snarky BFF. With that said, it didn’t deter me from enjoying this book.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of the New Adult genre and a book that is based on a college campus. If you are looking for an emotional love story with two broken souls, who in the end find solace in each other, then this is the book for you.
