Erotica romance author and owner of one of the largest publishing companies, Damon Lear, has a secret that keeps him out of relationships and into behavior that is taboo to many.
He is willing to set his strict rules aside for one memorable night with romance writer, Alayna Wynn, who he meets at his friend’s wedding. He fails at propositioning her, but they share one heated kiss, and he assures her they will meet again.
Damon gets his opportunity to seduce her when he rescues Alayna, keeping her from being stranded in an airport. Unable to leave his penthouse for days, she discovers it is impossible to resist the handsome, mysterious man who wants nothing more than to make her submissive.
When Alayna’s needs are not met, they both try to move on, but Damon sees that living the way he did before she walked in and out of his life is now impossible.
He lures her back, and Alayna falls deeper into his world of BDSM. She is surprised to find it thrilling and wants to please Damon more than ever, being a willing participant in his hot fantasies.
Their relationship is soon threatened when details from Damon’s past are leaked to the media, forcing him to share with her his darkest secrets.
Exes resurface, family interfere, and paparazzi stalk them, causing chaos. During it all, Damon battles to hold on to control by pushing Alayna sexually, introducing her to new, enthralling experiences.
He soon realizes he’s losing the hold on his heart when he witnesses Alayna fighting for the both of them and submitting to him completely.

Since I received One Urge, One Plea, Keep Me as the boxed set I am going to review it as if it was one book, instead of individual books. I am conflicted about this book. I enjoyed it and I thought it started out great but by the end I have to be honest, I thought it lost it’s appeal. I really liked the storyline, but I thought that the underlying storyline kind of got overclouded by the amount of sex in this story. The author added a mix of mystery and suspense, but to me it really felt like it got glossed over and I think Damon’s past should’ve been revealed a lot sooner then in the third book. This trilogy kind of reminded me of a 50 shades of Grey or a Bared to You type book, but I have to say my connection to Damon wasn’t as strong as I had with Christian or Gideon. I liked the writing style of the author….she definitely knows how to create a steamy and intense story and characters. The books moved smoothly between each other and I really liked that this was written in dual POV. I liked that she incorporated both POV’s in each chapter. We were never left wondering what the characters were thinking or feeling. I will let you know that these books should be read together because book 1 and 2 end with cliffhangers. Plus this book is pretty strong on the BDSM theme and some of the things Damon does might make some feel uncomfortable, if you don’t like that type of story.
I thought the character development was done really well, but like I said earlier, I wish we would’ve found out about Damon’s past sooner, so that that angle of the storyline could’ve be focused on more. I LOVED Alayna’s character. She was strong and feisty but also submissive. I liked that the author showed that even though she was submissive to Damon and enjoyed what he did with her, she was still her own person and didn’t always just bow down to Damon. Damon was the one character I had trouble connecting with. I liked him but to me there was too much of a jekyll and hyde thing going on with him. It was like we were meeting two completely different characters and that made it hard to like him for me. Especially since this book revolved around his dominance and sex so much. Were we saw his meaner side more often. I would’ve liked to see his softer side more often, especially towards the end of the trilogy. I think the biggest problem I had with this book was the amount of sex in this story, I really felt it overshadowed everything else and was a bit unrealistic in the respect that every time there was an argument or trouble with Alayna and Damon….he just turned to sex and dominance with her. Their communication skills were kind of lacking.
Now I know that it might sound like I didn’t like this trilogy, but I did and I would be willing to recommend it to anyone who is looking for that hot and sexy love story that dabbles in BDSM and has a very dominant Hero. This is definitely a great read for someone who really enjoys this genre of book.
Scarlet Wolfe began writing in January of 2013 as a way to distract and heal from some of the grief she was dealing with after the death of her teenage son.
She instantly fell in love with bringing characters to life. Releasing contemporary romance throughout 2013, she has branched out this year, releasing erotica and teen.
When not writing, Scarlet enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves coffee, chocolate, wine, stories about possessive, hot alpha males, and other flavors of ice cream besides vanilla. 😉
She hopes her writing will encourage readers to feel more comfortable exploring their sexuality.
