I’m a pretty carefree person. I believe in living life to the fullest, having no regrets and just having fun. This is my outlook on life when Scott Reynolds collides with it.
It was supposed to be casual and fun. We couldn’t get serious because our circumstances wouldn’t allow it. My sister and his brother were practically married. Soon, one hook up became two, then five, then ten, until I lost count completely. Our casual relationship became something more… to me.
How the hell did I let this happen?
I’m falling for this man and it’s becoming a problem. But Scott has his own problems, his own demons. He’s dug himself into a hole so deep, and he needs me to help him get out… and I do it. I stupidly do it and screw up my life, my reputation and any chance of changing people’s perception of me. For the first time I care what people think of me, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat…

If Scott weren’t such an asshole!

His hands come out to touch the material of my bra before meeting in the center of my breasts. “Front clasp, that’s new for you.”I push my heavy breasts out into his hands. “Easier access for you.”He grins wickedly before lowering his mouth to kiss the delicate flesh of my chest. He’s unhurried, which drives me crazy. I take matters into my own hands, literally, as I unfasten the front clasp of my bra and slide it off my shoulders, before tossing it on the ground.

“Impatient, are we?” He laughs at my urgency.

“We don’t have much time. You can fuck me now, or I’m going back out there unsatisfied,” I tease back.

Scott grunts at my words and slides his hands behind my back, pulling me to him so our chests are flush against each other. His mouth lowers to mine as I giggle against his lips. “I’m going to fuck you now. I’ll make it quick.”

~~ 5 Stars ~~

Well what can I say…I absolutely LOVE Justine’s writing.  This book is no different.  Her books just suck me in and don’t let go until I get to the last page.  I never what her books to end.  Her writing is smooth and effortless.  The flow and pace of her books is perfect.  She never gives us too much information to make the story drag, but it isn’t rushed either, were you think you miss stuff.  Her books always leave me with a smile on my face and a warm heart.  Her books also bring out all of my emotions….this book was no different.  I was smiling, swooning, panting, and yelling!!!!

I was so excited when I saw that she was writing a book about Winnie and Scott.  I have to say, I don’t know what I was expecting out of their story, but I can honestly say that this book was nothing like I was expecting.  (I mean that in a good way)  It was so different from Book 1 (Changing His Game) but not in a bad way, just more of a surprising way.  (it’s hard to explain, you just need to read this book)

We met Winnie and Scott in Changing His Game.  What I liked about this book, is how Justine created the timeline of how they meet.  She actually took us back to the beginning of their friendship and then worked our way back to the timeframe of CHG’s epilogue.  I loved watching these two grow as friends and creating a bond that both of them wanted to fight for a long time.  They have great banter, they truly complimented each other very well.  The majority of this book was told from Winnie’s POV, but Justine did throw in a couple of chapters from Scott’s POV, which I thought was great because she picked the perfect spots to let us into his head.  Whenever we got Scott’s POV, I was thrilled because it was at a point in the book that I wanted to know what he was feeling and thinking.  I LOVED Winnie’s character.  She was such a strong and fierce character.  She knew who she was and owned up to it.  Yes she made some really poor choices in the past and in this book, but she learned from them and grew into a better person.  Scott on the other hand, I had a love/hate relationship with him.  There were so many times I wanted to smack him and call him a Dbag, but then he would do something or say something that would melt my heart. (All the shells,  To understand that comment you will need to read the  book.)  He was so different from Jared, which I guess is a good thing, because he is his own character.  ( I will say that Jared is still my favorite, with Scott as a close second).  I could probably gush about this book and characters all day, but I won’t because I think everyone needs to experience them on their own.

We do get to see A LOT of Jared and Autumn in this book, which I though was FANTASTIC!!!!  I love when the author gives us a look into what happens with a couple or characters from a previous book.  Jared and Autumn truly play a huge role in the story of Winnie and Scott.  They were great support systems when they needed them.  It also showed us exactly how loyal both Jared and Autumn are when it comes to family.  I loved that we got a continuation of their story and got to see them grow as a couple!!!!

I know that this book is said that it can be read as a standalone, but I would definitely recommend reading Changing His Game first, so you can get the background of all the characters in this book.

I’ll finish by saying that I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a fun, sexy, and easy read that will leave you smiling in the end, then this is the book for you!!!!  If you are a fan of Justine’s, then you DON”T want to miss this book!!!! This is a book/series I will read over and over again in the future.
