Brave Enough 2From the author of the New York Times bestselling Bad Boys novels comes another dark, sexy story…

Is she brave enough to give her heart to a man she only thought she knew?

He was the most charismatic man I’d ever met. Strong, tough, brave. Bold as hell. Something told me Tag Barton could have anything—anyone—he wanted…and he wanted me. It didn’t matter that he was wrong for me in practically every way possible. It didn’t matter that my father would hate it.

I couldn’t resist him. Even if I’d known who he really was and what he was really capable of.

When he suggested we pretend to be engaged, I thought he was the answer to all my problems. He wasn’t. And, in his wake, he left nothing but scorched earth and me, just another casualty of my father’s war.

Can I believe him now when he tells me he loves me? Or is he nothing more than a beautiful, breathtaking lie?

~ 5 Stars ~

What can I say….it’s Michelle Leighton!!! I knew this book was going to be great going into it and I am happy to say that I wasn’t wrong.

Brave Enough is the third book in M. Leighton’s Tall, Dark and Dangerous series and it was just a great as the first two books. Each of these books can be read on their own. We do see Rogan in this book but he doesn’t play a huge part so I don’t feel you have to read his book (Strong Enough Book 2) to understand and follow along with Tag’s story.

I will say that I felt this book was different from the other two books in that the suspense/mystery aspect was missing in this book. I will say that I didn’t miss it one bit. Michelle still gave us an engaging storyline that kept me hooked all the way through. This was definitely more of a fairytale romance story than the previous two books, but I didn’t mind, because I love those types of books. This does tend to lean towards an insta love novel. So if you aren’t a fan of those types of stories, then this might not be the book for you.

In this book we follow the love story of Tag and Weatherly. This was kind of a forbidden love story, because Weatherly comes from a wealthy family and Tag is the son of the woman who has worked for Weatherly’s family for years. So you could say he comes from the wrong side of the tracks. Or so it seems….not everything is as it seems 😉 Weatherly is frustrated with her parents and the decisions her dad wants her to make so she decides to go to the family vineyard and get away and do things she wants to do. This is where she runs into Tag. Their attraction is instant and their chemistry is off the charts!!! During this story we know that Tag is keeping a secret, we just don’t know what. So what will happen when the lies and secrets start to unravel and reveal themselves….Will Tag and Weatherly be able to get past it and reach their HEA?? You will need to read this book to find out.

I truly loved both of these characters. Tag and Weatherly truly complimented each other. I loved that Weatherly was willing to stand up for what she believed in and saw the true side of Tag. Tag was just swoony!!! Even though he is hiding secrets, I truly felt his intentions were honest and true. I also believed he really loved Weatherly.

This story is told in Dual POV and is a fairly quick read. Nothing felt overly rushed and I didn’t feel like we were missing out on anything.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Michelle Leighton’s. I would also recommend this series….Each book has sucked me in and I had a hard time putting any of the books down.

Brave Enough was everything that I could have wanted in this final installment of the series. It had heat, chemistry, romance, raw characters and of course a little drama thrown into the mix to give readers a full spectrum of what it means to TRUST and LOVE. From the first to the very last page, M. Leighton had me devouring this book in one sitting and left a permanent smile on my face as she set hearts ablaze with this beautiful, heartfelt, and wholesome love story.” ~Michelle from Four Chicks Flipping Pages

“Of all the books in the series, this one is probably my favorite. The storytelling that Leighton does felt so effortless and the characters are ones that complement each other so well, so you can’t help but root for them. Now that we say goodbye to the Tall, Dark, and Dangerous men, I’m curious to see where M. Leighton will go next!” ~ Candy from Prisoners of Print

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, M. Leighton, is a native of Ohio. She relocated to the warmer climates of the South, where she can be near the water all summer and miss the snow all winter. Possessed of an overactive imagination from early in her childhood, Michelle finally found an acceptable outlet for her fantastical visions: literary fiction. Having written over a dozen novels, these days Michelle enjoys letting her mind wander to more romantic settings with sexy Southern guys, much like the one she married and the ones you’ll find in her latest books. When her thoughts aren’t roaming in that direction, she’ll be riding wild horses, skiing the slopes of Aspen or scuba diving with a hot rock star, all without leaving the cozy comfort of her office.

About Michelle: I love coffee and chocolate, even more so when they are combined. I’m convinced that one day they could be the basis for world peace. I also love the color red and am seriously considering dying my hair.
