An all new second chance love story by the New York Times Bestselling author of the beloved Driven series.
It all started with the invitation. To my ex-fiance’s new wedding.
I should have ignored it. Thrown it away. Set it afire. But I didn’t. I replied.
With a plus one.
And then my assistant accidentally mailed it.
Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye.
When he showed up out of the blue ten years later, I should have known to steer clear of him. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex’s wedding. I should have never let him kiss me.
But I didn’t.
And now we’re left wondering if the pieces of the life we once shared still fit together somehow. First loves are hard to forget. The question is, do we want to forget? Or do we risk the chance and see what happens next?

~ 3.5 – 4 CupCakery Stars ~
I have been dying to read K. Bromberg since her Driven Series was released, but I just haven’t had time, so let me tell you I was so excited to hear she was releasing a standalone… Sweet Cheeks. I figured what a perfect time to dive right into her work. I am really glad I chose to read this book….it was truly enjoyable.
Sweet Cheeks is a standalone novel told in Dual POV. It is a second chance romance story, but it is also a Friends to Lovers style story. I found the characters relatable and lovable and the storyline was an entertaining one. My only negative about this book is this, I felt it took a little too long for the story to really get going. I felt all the inner monologue with the characters really slowed the pace down. The reason for my mixed star rating is because the 3.5 stars were for the first 60% of the book and the 4 stars are for the remaining 40% of the book. If what happens in the last part of the book would’ve happened sooner in the story, this would’ve been a solid 4 stars bordering on 5 stars for me.
Now with me saying that, I don’t want anyone to think I didn’t like this story and wouldn’t recommend it to readers, because I totally would. This is a book for anyone who is a fan of second chance romances and the friends to lovers story. Like I said I really liked the storyline. It had me smiling, blushing and giggling many times over. I will warn you….you may want some cupcakes or sweets around while reading this book. All the talk about cupcakes had me craving one 😉
Sweet Cheeks is the story of Saylor and Hayes. Childhood friends who eventually fell in love with each other, until Hayes just ups and leaves without a word to chase his dreams. Leaving a heartbroken Saylor to move on with her life. 10 Years later and Saylor is just coming off a 6 year relationship and starting up a brand new bakery, but business isn’t doing so well and she just got invited to her ex’s (Mitch) wedding. The question is Does she go or Does she pass it up??? Read this story to find out. Also enter Hayes after 10 years of no communication. Hayes is now a HUGE movie star, but he doesn’t forget where he came from and who he left behind. This story was Hayes’s way of getting redemption and healing old wounds. Will Saylor be able to forgive and forget Hayes leaving without a word?? Can these two find the love they once shared?? How will Saylor handle Hayes’s fame and paparazzi?? All these answers and more are answered in this book, you just have to read it.
So if you are a fan of K. Bromberg’s and love a second chance love story between friends, then run out and get this book. I think you will really enjoy it!!!
New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.
She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California.
On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift), and a novella (UnRaveled). She is currently finishing up Sweet Cheeks a standalone novel out November 14th.
Her plans for 2017 include a sports romance duet (2 books: The Player, The Catch) and the Everyday Heroes series (3 books: Cuffed, Combust, and Cockpit). She’s also writing a novella for the 1,001 Dark Night series that will be out in February 2017.
She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media.
