~ 5 Finding Love Again Stars ~
Someone Like You is Lauren Layne at her finest. This book was different than her other books in this series. This one is filled with secrets and mysteries, that keep your minding reeling all the way through. There were so many different emotions that went into this book. She gave us everything….laughter, love, hurt, sexy times, and hope.
Someone Like You is the third novel in Lauren’s Oxford Series but can be read as a standalone book. I would however recommend reading the first two so you get the full picture of who Lincoln is. But it isn’t necessary. I am also glad to know that this isn’t the last book with these characters. She introduced two new characters who will be getting their own book and I hope that we get to see all of the cast in that book too. I am not ready to say goodbye to this or the Stiletto series yet!!!
I have been looking forward to Lincoln’s book ever since he was introduced into this series. I knew his story was going to be an interesting one. Lauren didn’t disappoint us with his story at all!!! Definitely well worth the wait. I can’t say much about this book, so what I will say is that this is a book you WANT to read. Lincoln’s story is by far my favorite in the Oxford Series. I absolutely LOVED both Lincoln and Daisy. They were both very flawed and broken souls, but also filled with so much hope and love. They truly were the perfect match for each other. I know these two characters will live on in my head for some time.
I absolutely love this whole cast of characters and was so glad to see all of them make an appearance in this story. Their never ending loyalty to each other was amazing and I loved that they are also open to letting new people into their ever growing family.
I have to be honest and say that this book took me by surprise. Normally when I pick up a Lauren Layne book I usually smile throughout the whole book and know that it will be an easy beachy read. This one is not like that….Yes I ended with a HUGE smile on my face but this book tore at my heartstrings….alot!!! I was crying on more than one occasion while reading this story. But truthfully I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. I couldn’t see Lincoln’s story playing out any other way, Lauren did Lincoln’s story perfectly!!
So as you can probably guess, YES I would recommend this book to everyone. If you are a fan of Lauren Layne’s or this series, this is a book you don’t want to miss!!! It’s a MUST READ!!!!
