He crowds everything into corners just by stepping into a room.
Steely, cold, and focused, he’d do anything to keep me safe.
Except there is no safe and there is no us.
There’s only stolen moments and reckless touches, secrets and lies.
And the stranger who wants me dead.
Cast in shadows and biding his time, he pulls on the threads of my life hoping I’ll come undone.
Even surrounded by people I’m completely alone.
Though I’m afraid, I don’t want to feel safe.
I want to feel prepared.
Fear doesn’t have to be my weakness; it can be the fire in my veins.
Fear might just keep me alive tonight.

4 “I want us” stars!
Mystery and romance is a great combination and that’s what we are given in Reckless Touch. And I loved it!! The author has given us a story that truly did keep me guessing until almost the very end. I had a few ideas, but NONE of them were right. So, here we have a detective and a journalist with instant attraction. It was sure to be an interesting story 😉
“Before he spoke a word, he’d sucked all of the air out of the room with his quiet, but commanding energy.”
Amelia and Reed (AKA Sebastian) meet after Amelia is attacked. And the saga starts from there. Reed is the detective assigned to her case, but Reed has just as many skeletons as Amelia, which really does give this story many twists and turns. It’s like that HEA is just hanging above their heads so many times, but there is always a BUT! LOL
“I tend to get a bit angry when it’s implied that I’m a lunatic.”
I enjoyed this story a lot. It has a great smooth flow that kept me engaged and entertained. The heroine got on my nerves a few times, but she was just being a girl. HeHe!! And Reed…he sounded pretty amazing. He swooped right in to be the knight in shining armor that she needed, without a bunch of drama.
“He’s here to show Caleb or whoever the hell is looking that I am not alone.”
There’s a lot going on in this story, but the author did a great job of laying it all out there without any confusion. I highly recommend it to those that love a good mystery with their romance. Happy Reading!!
