4 “two peas in a pod” stars!
This is a cute story! Something More Than This takes you on short journey through Katy’s little love triangle. The gist is Katy’s torn between a childhood crush, Connor, and the man she didn’t even know she wanted, Dylan.
“What is wrong with me? Why am I thinking about this? And why the hell does it bother me to the point that I’m embarrassed to even look at him right now.”
The story is filled with more humor than I expected, mostly from Katy’s best friend, Mimi. And the humor was refreshing. As much as I enjoy a love triangle, a love tringle with humor instead of drama is great.
“I need to get home and hide under the blankets and figure out what I’m going to do about Conner…and Dylan.”
Would I have handled things the way Katy did?!? Would I have done and said some of the silly things she did?!? Heck no, but it sure was funny!! I knew from the beginning where she needed to be, but I still enjoyed reading about her silly self getting to that place J Connor and Daniel are both great guys, but it was obvious from the very beginning, who she was meant to be with. Or at least to me it was, just not her 😉
“He’s what I want. But I don’t know how to tell him that, so the words get lodged somewhere in my throat.”
This is an entertaining and easy read that is sure to make a great weekend read. Or even better, a good beach day read J This was not my first read by this author, and not my favorite, but still very good. Let me know what you think! Happy Reading!
Bohrman dreamed of becoming an author. Long after she had given up, a
book club’s prologue contest encouraged her to give it one more go. What
emerged were the beginnings of her debut novel, Promise Me. Now she’s living
her dream and writing stories that entice readers to escape and break away from
reality. When she’s not writing, you can find her trying to get through the
books on her Kindle (more than a thousand at last count) or watching Sherlock or Homeland.
