Destiny brought them together. Will Death tear them apart?

My name is Catalina Franklin. And I should be dead.
When Death called my number, sending one of her Guides to take my soul, she didn’t count on one thing. The Guide she sent – He was made for me, and I for him. Pulling me back from the arms of Death, Telor changed my fate – and his. Now we’re left with the question of not only how he’s still here, by why. Will we get the answers we need? Or will Death find us first? Only time will tell…but ours is quickly running out.

It has been a LONG time since I dipped back into the paranormal romance reading world. Paranormal use to be my main reading genre’. So a chance to see if I still enjoy it as much as I use to excited me. And Telor and Lina’s story reminded me that I need to read more paranormal. I very much enjoyed their story. One of the things I love about paranormal is I am not constantly relating them to real life. While reading them, I truly am getting away from reality and just enjoying my love of reading.

“I knew Catalina was special, but I was just starting to see how special she truly was.”

Telor and Lina are “soul mates” and that gave just enough romance aspect to this story to also grab my attention. But I have to admit, I REALLY liked Gavin, too 🙂 My heart hurt for Gavin, at times. In the beginning I got a tad confused by some of the afterlife talk and what the different characters were responsible for. But, I quickly caught up and understood it all…or at least enough to enjoy it.

“When he was here all I could do was hang on his every word. I felt like a junkie who just kept needing fix after fix. The more I heard it, the more I needed it. When he was gone, I felt his absence in my whole body. I t pined for his return like it fought for air.”

But Telor and Lina’s pull towards one another is not an easy task or an instant HEA. Duh, right, he is dead and she is not. So now their real struggle begins as they try to figure out how to be together. Because, obviously they can’t stay away from each other 😉

“You tame my soul, Cariad.”

I thoroughly enjoyed all the characters in this story and I feel like there might be more to come about one of Lina’s room-mates, something just felt different about her, but maybe it was just my mind playing tricks on me.  This story ends in a way that I liked and didn’t like. It wasn’t the 100% HEA that craved but I at least still felt somewhat content with it.

I felt like this story flowed well and was easily followed. I look forward to reading about where their story takes them next, and if you paranormal romance is your thing, definitely give this one a try 🙂
