Ex-Army Ranger, Brand Killien, has always been good.
A good friend, a good soldier, a good everything. .
The problem is, good hasn’t gotten him anything but a crushed heart.
So after licking his wounds, he decides to move on. And moving on doesn’t include being good anymore.
Bad sounds so much better.
Jaded and detached, Brand is determined to never open himself up to anyone again. It’s not worth the pain. Instead, he becomes closed, hardened, aloof.
But then he’s called back home for a family emergency… a family that he is estranged from. A family that he put out of his mind a long time ago for very good reasons…reasons that involve secrets and pain. Reasons he tried hard to forget.
But home is where the heart is, and it just might be where Brand finds his again.
Why? Because home is where Nora Greene is. A fiery, red-headed spitfire, Nora is a thing from his past. A beautiful, feisty thing. When Brand left, she was away at boarding school.
But she’s back now.
And she wants Brand, scars and all.

~~ 5 Stars ~~
What can I say….this series just continues to get better and better as the books are published. Until We Fly is the fourth book in Unbeautifully Broken series and it was just as great or even a little greater then the first book. Courtney Cole’s writing always amazes me. Her stories are captivating, engaging, and flawlessly told. Her stories just suck me in and don’t let go. This book held on until the end….I actually read this book in less then a day. I didn’t want to put it down and it didn’t seem like I could read fast enough. This story had me smiling, laughing, swooning, panting, and at times utterly pissed and disgusted.( this is related to the tragedy that happened to Nora). This is why I gave this book 5 stars….I love when a book makes feel every emotion I can feel and also makes me feel like I’m a part if the characters lives.
We met Brand in the other books in this series because he has been a life long friend of Gabe (Book 2) and Jacey (Book 3). He has always been a secondary character that I have truly been in love with. I was beyond excited to find out he was getting his own book in this series. I just knew his story was going to be great. My heart broke for Brand in Until We Fly, I didn’t realize just how broken this man really was. His childhood was so sad and the way his parents were towards him would’ve broken even the strongest of men. I don’t want to say too much about the story because it would spoil things for the reader. Brand was totally a swoon worthy hero!!!! He would do just about anything to protect what is his, he even has it tattooed on his body. I truly can’t express how great Brand is, you really need to meet him yourself. I liked Nora as a character. What she had to endure in her past….holy moly I can’t even fathom how someone gets over that. I was glad to see her character get stronger and start standing up for herself as the story went on.
As for secondary characters….this book really didn’t have any that stood out for me. I was glad we got to see a little bit of Jacey again and a little of Gabe, but this book really did focus on Brand and Nora.
I am just going to end this review with…..READ THIS BOOK NOW!!!! Each of the books in this series can be read as a standalone, they are all different stories with a different couple that is the focus. There is only a little bit of character overlay. I would suggest reading the WHOLE series though, because book is FANTASTIC in it’s own right!!!!
Favorite Quote : “The best things in life are worth the greatest risk. Sometimes, before we fall, we fly.”
“What are you afraid of?” I ask her quietly, staring into them.
“Everything,” she sighs, surprising me.
The dark almost seems suffocating, and against my better judgment, I close my hand over hers, holding her fingers.
“Don’t be,” I tell her. “I’m here now.”
She sucks in her breath, I hear it. And I regret my words. I don’t want her to grow dependent on me. We’re only here a short time. I can’t get sucked in. I won’t let it be another situation like the one with Jacey.
Nora reaches for me, and I tense. It’s visible.
She stares at me through the dark, her eyes narrowing.
“What are you afraid of?”
“Nothing,” I answer out of habit. She narrows her eyes more.
“Let me ask that again. What are you afraid of?”
“This,” I finally answer.
Nora sucks her breath in again. “Why?”
I shake my head. “Because nothing good can come of it. We’re only here for a few weeks.”
Nora’s lips curve into a slow smile. “Brand, trust me. A whole lot of good can come from it.”
She reaches for me, her slender arms curving around my neck, pulling my face down to hers.
And while I know I should push her away, I should get up and leave, I don’t.
Her lips taste sweet as they press to mine. I slide my hands up her warm back and pull her to me, crushing her against my bare chest. Our combined warmth ignites and her tongue slides into my mouth.
“I need you, Brand,” she breathes. “I need you.”
She slides her hand down my chest until she finds my hardness and I hear the rush of air as her breath rushes over her lips.
Her cool fingers grasp me, and I know that it’s over. Logical thought escapes me and all I can focus on is the friction of her hand stroking my cock.
Smart or not, I’m burying myself in her tight little body tonight.
The chips can fall where they may.

Courtney Cole is a novelist who would eat mythology for breakfast if she could. She has a degree in Business, but has since discovered that corporate America is not nearly as fun to live in as fictional worlds. She loves chocolate and roller coasters and hates waiting and rude people.
Courtney lives in quiet suburbia, close to Lake Michigan, with her real-life Prince Charming, her ornery kids (there is a small chance that they get their orneriness from their mother) and a small domestic zoo.
