The Winner Takes It All is the third and final book in the Love in LA Series by Audrey Harte. This book is the conclusion to Annie’s story and I thought it was a great ending. This book was just as fun and entertaining as the other 2 books were. This book actually took a different direction then I was expecting. The ending to this story was a complete surprise to me, but I am 100% happy with what the author did with Annie’s character. This is another quick read and is one that can be read easily in one day. After reading Book 2 I honestly thought this book was going to be filled with excess drama and I am happy to say that it truly wasn’t. Yes the author did put in a little drama, but nothing that drags out or that will completely frustrate you. She adds just enough to keep you interested in the story and wanting to turn the pages to see how it all works out.
I can’t say a lot about the storyline because it will spoil a lot. This book is truly about Annie finally putting herself first and chasing after her dreams and not letting anyone stand in her way. I loved watching Annie become the strong, independent person I knew she was. With the first 2 books focusing more on her love life, this book actually focuses on her career path. At the end of book 2 she has just been contacted to star on a reality talent show and is heading to New York City. This is where book 3 starts off. Annie is in NYC practicing and performing for this reality show. She is also still trying to navigate her relationship with Casey, while they are hitting a few bumps in the road. Will she end up winning the reality show and if she does can her relationship with Casey survive one of them losing?? These are the questions that you will need to read book for to get the answers. Oh and what happens when someone from her past resurfaces….will her old feelings resurface as well ??? Read this book to find out!!!!
Again I will say that Audrey Harte has created wonderful characters with this series and I am glad we got to see most of them in this book. She also introduced us to a new character named Erin, who ends up befriending Annie and they forge a wonderful friendship. I liked Erin a lot and can’t wait for her spin off series called Love in NYC….her journey is going to be an interesting one, I think 🙂
I would recommend this to anyone who has read books 1 and 2, or is a fan of Aubrey Harte, but I would also recommend it to anyone looking for that unique New Adult love story that is fun and entertaining, but not over the top on drama. This series will leave you with a big smile on your face and warm fuzzies in your heart.
“But yeah, Casey is just…amazing. Which makes it suck all that much more that I hardly ever get to see him. This weekend was the first time I’ve gotten to see him in almost a month.”
“Ugh, that does suck. And then of course you’ve got to be stressing out every time you think about Ms. Miles strutting her not-so-ugly stuff around him when you’re not there.”
“You’re not helping,” Annie growled.
Lifting his eyebrows at her, Alex shrugged. “Sorry.”
“This blows.” She looked despondently at her plate and pushed at the spinach left on it, her appetite suddenly gone.
“Cheer up, chick. You’ll both be safely together in New York next week.”
“True,” she said, perking up at the reminder. “And hopefully we’ll both do so well that they won’t be able to pick a winner and they’ll announce us both winners! And then we can tour together and Miss Perfect Pop Star Kayla Miles can go fuck herself.”
“There you go—that’s the spirit! More wine?”

In 1998, Audrey relocated to Los Angeles, California where she has lived ever since.
