Jenna Ryan is the kind of girl everyone wants for a friend. Her spunky and carefree outlook on life often leads to trouble of the best kind. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, and when it comes to her friends, she’s fiercely loyal and protective. When she met Eric, she knew immediately he was her forever, but why was he holding back?
Eric James is the epitome of a Greek God. He parties hard while trying to meet the expectations of his overachiever parents. When he met Jenna, sparks flew, and he knew he’d met his match.
But Eric is hiding a small secret. When Jenna finds out, these two will embark on a wild and hilarious journey to torture each other into submission.
Who will win? And who will learn the true meaning of… Patience?
***Patience is a Jenna and Eric novella with approximately 30k words. It can be read as a stand alone but is much better after reading Choices or Fate.
When I finally spot him sitting at a table in the corner, my heart stutters, pounding in my chest as he takes my breath away. With his chin-length blonde hair and stunning blue eyes, he is the epitome of perfection. His eyes scan the crowd as he lazily tips his beer back, his throat smoothly gliding up and down with each swallow. He sits there, watching the crowd while he talks to the guys, and has no freakin’ idea how much I want him. It should be illegal to look like that.
When I move into his line of vision, his eyes narrow on me, piercing, as if he’s mentally undressing me. I walk to him, slowly, swaying my hips seductively. He can’t tear his eyes off me. I wanted to drive him wild, and I succeeded.
“I’ve been waiting for you.” I can’t really hear him over the music, but I read his lips. There must be something about wanting what you can’t have because his lips are suddenly more appealing than they’ve ever been. I can’t look away, even when they turn up in a knowing smile. He caught me, and he knows it. “Now I see what took you so long.” His eyes slowly move down my body, lingering on my feet, before traveling back to my face.
When he wraps his hand around my waist, his thumb grazing the exposed area, I look into his eyes. They are smoldering, filled with promise, and I know this little plan of mine is backfiring.
I so suck at revenge.
Quincy pulls out a chair and sits, her movement bringing me crashing back to reality. “You like?” I ask, holding my hands out to my sides and turning in a circle.
“Like? Sunshine, if we weren’t right here, right now, I’d say to hell with the bet and then I’d show you just how much I like.” He lifts a hand, slowly wrapping a strand of my hair around his finger and releasing it. “I think I still might.”

“Jenna Ryan had caught me, and I fell for her – hook, line, and sinker. All she had to do was reel me in.” -Eric
Hmmmmm….I’m torn. I enjoyed this novella because I wanted to know more about Jenna and Eric but I also felt like something was missing. Maybe it’s because it was so short…I just don’t know.
Jenna and Eric’s story is sweet! Very sweet!! It’s one of really getting to know someone. Eric will knock your socks off with his romantic side. And it’s definitely not what I expected from them. I enjoyed it but I admit I wasn’t wowed by it. I don’t know what my problem is. I almost feel bad for not being totally in love with it…like it’s my fault. LOL! And It could be because the one thing that did VERY MUCH peak my interest was the Quincy, Brody, and Declan additions. Maybe that was my problem, I am still so fixated on Quincy and Brody’s story that I really couldn’t enjoy Jenna and Eric’s story like I should have. There is DEFINITELY a lot less drama with them! Theirs is all about getting to know one another and all kinds of sweetness from Eric. He is very swoonworthy!!! And we can’t forget Seth from Choices and Fate. He cracked me up in Patience, and he was the voice of reason, a lot. Who knew that could happen.
So, if you read Choices and Fate, you will definitely want to get your Jenna and Eric fix, too. Jenna is a hoot and Eric will warm your heart 🙂
