Love is best served on the rocks.
My roommates look really good naked. At least one of them does. I’m sure the other one does too, but I haven’t seen him without his pants on. Living with two guys wasn’t something I’d ever considered, but the opportunity fell in my lap, and I’d have been crazy to turn it down.
College went by in a great big blur leaving me with less of a direction than I had going in. Add in a family that wanted nothing to do with me, and my post-college plans were less than clear. What’s a girl to do when she has nowhere else to turn? She moves to the Outer Banks and learns to bartend. After all, it was my horrible bartending skills that led me to my roommate’s bed and into his heart.

“Sometimes love is best served on the rocks, especially when it’s the kind of love that changes you forever.”
I enjoyed On The Rocks. It’s a light and cute read 🙂 You will not be stressed or too overly emotional with this story, but you will still get some romance, a little steam, and entertainment from it. Carly and Macon are sweethearts. I honestly didn’t expect things to go like they did, but was pleasantly surprised. I am used to reading stories about all kinds of drama, and this one doesn’t have that. It’s all smiles and good times…mostly!
“Every part of me felt whole with him. He got me. He didn’t judge or over glorify the good parts, but he also didn’t focus on the bad.”
Carly is trying to make a fresh start and stay away from some family drama. Ultimately she ends up moving in with two very adorable and good looking guys. So, when I read the synopsis, my first thought was love triangle. Nope!! I was way wrong. And throughout the whole story, I kept thinking something is going to happen!!! But, as I said, it didn’t. And not only is this a sweet love story about Carly and Macon, it’s also just as much about Carly’s brother and his girlfriend, which is also full of sweetness 🙂
“I’d been with plenty of girls, but Carly was different inside and out.”
And then Macon…who knew he was going to turn out to be Mr. Romeo. It seems that he had a bad reputation and I enjoyed that he didn’t end up being some cheater, liar, or loser.
Now, Brody. I need to read Brody’s story. And I sure hope he gets a story. I feel like there is so much mystery attached to him and need to know more about him.
So, to sum up my feelings on this story, I enjoyed this story. This is my first read by this author and I can say that I will read more of her stories. This story was a refreshing read and we all need a little variety in our reads sometimes 🙂
