~~ 5 “Jaw Dropping” Stars ~~
I have to say this will probably one of the shortest reviews I am ever going to write. The reason for that is because anything I want to say about the book would be a major spoiler!!!!
I went into this book knowing that there was a cliffhanger, but I have to say NOTHING could’ve prepared me for this one. That ending is brutal. I have to say thank you to Cheryl McIntyre for at least giving us a little nibble in the Epilogue, so it at least takes away some of the sting. I will say if you don’t like cliffhangers then you definitely want to wait for the second book to be released before starting this book. With that said…this Series is DEFINITELY one that is a MUST READ!!!!
I loved this book!!!! It was so much more then I thought it would be. This was not your typical NA second chance love story. Yes this is about two characters finding their way back to each other, but I have to say that truly takes a back seat to the mystery and suspense this book has. The storyline in this book was Fantastic!!!! This is killing me because I want to say so much and I can’t. I will say that this is so different from any other books by Cheryl McIntyre. But if you liked her other books you will like this one as well. The writing is very similar in that she created a story and characters that just suck you in and hold on all the way to the end. This was a fairly quick read, but nothing seemed rushed. Yes there is some missing information but that is part of the storyline and what adds the element of suspense. I will say that with the way this book ends you would think that the story is over, until you read the epilogue and know that there is more coming!!!! The epilogue alone will create many questions and I can’t wait until we get the answers in the next book.
One thing I can say about the story is that I LOVED all of the characters in this book. We meet Briar, Benji, Jax (Benji’s Brother), Kameron (Briar’s BFF) and Flynn (Friend of all of them) I can’t remember the last book I read that I actually walked away thinking to myself how much I loved all the characters. All three guys were totally swoon worthy!!!
I would definitely recommend this book!!!! It is one that will grab you right from the beginning and not let go until it’s over. You really can’t turn the pages fast enough. This is one I will definitely read over and over again.
