New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack follows up her trio of hits—Losing It, Faking It, and Finding It—with this thrilling first novel in an explosive series bursting with the Texas flavor, edge, and steamy romance of Friday Night Lights.
In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.
Dallas Cole loathes football. That’s what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.
But life doesn’t always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.
Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It’s obliterated.
Dallas doesn’t know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn’t know that Dallas is his new coach’s daughter.
And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.

~~ 4 “Sweet” Stars ~~
Now I know why I like reading Cora Carmack’s books so much…she has such a great talent at creating a story that is engaging, sweet, sexy and fun. All Lined Up is the first book in her new Series and I have to say that I think she is off to a great start with this series. I truly enjoyed this book. The characters in this book were wonderful. They were down to earth, fun, snarky and sexy. This story is told in dual POV which I love. It’s always great to get both sides of the story. I thought the flow between POV’s was well written, each of the chapters just flowed one right into the next without any repetition or time loss. The pace of the story was great too….it’s told over a pretty short span of time, but nothing was rushed when it came to this story. The only thing I noticed that I wish would’ve been expanded on a little was something that happens in the middle of the story. It was a shocker I didn’t see coming but I felt that, that storyline wasn’t finished. I would’ve liked to know what happened down the road.
This story is about Carson and Dallas. Dallas is the daughter to the head football coach at Rusk University. Dallas has lived in the shadow of football her whole life and she was just hoping to go to college to be on her own and follow her dreams. That’s hard to do when your father is at the same college as you. Her dad and her have kind of a strained relationship, I was glad to see that as the story went on they finally started working things out. I liked that Dallas finally started to stand up to her dad about what her dreams and goals were with her life. I really liked Dallas as a character….I thought she was funny and snarky, but she was also a little broken by what happened to her in high school and always feeling like second best. Because of this she has sworn off football players and guys in general…that is until she meets Carson. Their first meeting was explosive. ( You definitely want to read that scene, it was both funny and HOT 😉 ) Carson was also a person who was trying to do the best he could and become the best person he could be. He grew up poor and was determined to follow his dreams no matter what. So he was focused and wasn’t willing to let anything distract him….that is until he meets Dallas. Carson was so sweet!!! I loved his character.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for that sweet, fun and sexy read that has a Football theme to it. Even if you don’t like football or know anything about the sport, you don’t want to miss this book. I loved that Cora created a story that was based around football, but was still so much more. This is definitely a series I will continue to read 🙂
