A Week in New York_final

synopsis

Anna Kirby is sick of dating. She’s tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she’s a magnet for men who don’t deserve her.

A week’s vacation in New York is the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.

Super-successful serial seducer Ethan Scott has some rules of his own. He doesn’t date, he doesn’t stay the night, and he doesn’t make any promises.

It should be a match made in heaven. But rules are made to be broken.

A Week in New York is the first in a series of three novellas.

5 “no promises, no ambiguity, no bullshit” Stars!!

So, I LOVED this novella!!! And it’s not that I didn’t expect to enjoy it, but I didn’t expected to devour it 🙂 Ethan and Anna’s story, for me, was addicting!! And you want to know why?? Humor and hot sex!! It had me laughing out loud and fanning myself. You can’t go wrong when you mix the two together. And Ethan and Anna are all over those two things.

“I didn’t say I didn’t know he was hot. Jesus, I slept with him. I’m clearly attracted to him. I’m just not interested in having more than one night. With anyone.”

Anna is coming out of a BAD breakup and Ethan DOES NOT date.  And the two are both looking for a one night stand, obviously for different reasons, though. But, they never expected to enjoy each other’s company so much. At first, it sounds like a train wreck waiting to happen, right?!? But, it’s not. It’s great!! It’s sweet, it’s funny, it’s HOT, and it warmed my heart, at times 🙂 But, I just kept waiting for the point where everything falls apart. You know it’s coming, but yet I just couldn’t stop myself from devouring every word until THAT ENDING!!

I knew the ending was not going to be the one I am looking for. This is the first of a 3 part series, so I was preparing myself for a cliff hanger. And I was right, but it wasn’t a crazy cliff hanger like I expected. But, I still can’t wait to get my hands on the next one!!

I enjoyed and laughed my ass off at all the characters in this story. Anna and Ethan’s best friends definitely helped make the story, with their humor. Plus, I love the mystery behind Ethan. I am not sure if it is intentional, or just a bonus that I made up as I went, but I felt that we are not told a lot about Ethan.  What does he do for a living? That was sorta hinted at but I am not sure of his occupation. And, why is he so set on no relationships?? He just seemed very mysterious to me 🙂

“Careful. You might have to marry her if you speak to her after you’ve fucked her.”  ~Andrew (Ethan’s best friend)

So, to sum up my thoughts, this story was very well written and I enjoyed every word of it. And am actually still craving more of what is to come for Anna and Ethan. Book Bitch approved and recommended!!!

abouttheauthor

I write sexy, romantic, contemporary novels – the kind I like to read!

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the seventies and eighties, I love all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so I’ll settle for books and films.

I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don’t have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
