For the first time in years, Nash wants to let a woman into his world,
but while his loss made him stronger, that strength came at a price.
When Nash bought his farmette, he had one goal in mind—to provide a loving, stable home for his son. He never imagined he’d be raising Phillip alone, or renting out a room to keep their heads above water. Then again, he never imagined losing his brother, or spending two years sailing around the world with parents who seemed to forget one son was still alive.
Sparks fly from the moment Tempest moves in, and her positive energy and inquisitive nature brings new life into Nash and Phillip’s quiet, confined world. For the first time in years, Nash wants to let a woman into his world, but while his loss made him stronger, that strength came at a price, leaving him walled off and wary of opening his heart again.

~ 4 Hope and Love Stars ~
I am such a sucker for a single dad story!!! There is just something that melts my heart when I read a book about a man and the undying love he has for his child.
Whisper of Love is a standalone novel from the Bradens Peaceful Harbor Series. It is told in the third person and dual POV. What I have come to love about this series is that the books are truly standalones. You don’t need to read any previous books to read this one. I also like that even though we see past couples in this book, Melissa really doesn’t ruin any of their books either. We just get updates about what the couples have been up to.
Whisper of Love is a heartwarming love story about finding one’s way in this world and that it is okay to ask for help along the way. This is a story without drama and excess heartache we normally see in books today. I kept waiting for that “big” thing to break up the couple or cause some serious heartache but it never came….and I have to say that was kind of refreshing. Now don’t get me wrong Melissa knows how to pull on your heartstrings in this story, but it was all built off Nash’s past and not with excess drama. I thought the pace in which she took this couple was great. They had an instant attraction, but didn’t act on it right away and didn’t have the “in love” moment for quite some time. This was a slow burn that worked!!!
In this book we follow the love story between Tempest (the middle Braden child) and Nash, a single father raising an adorable 3 year old son. Tempest has decided to leave Peaceful Harbor and start a new chapter in her life. She has been living with her cousin Jillian for a couple weeks and needs to move out for her own sanity. She sees and add for a room for rent and decides to take a chance. In comes Nash and Phillip. Nash’s life was turned upside down when he was younger and then he found out he was going to be a father and his world change again. Putting his future and dreams on hold for his son, Nash has now realized he needs help with funds. Deciding to rent out his spare room. This is how Nash and Tempest meet. What neither of them knew was how significant their lives would change. Will Tempest find the happy new change she’s been looking for?? Can Nash open his house and heart to someone new??? Read this book to get those answers.
If you are looking for that easy, beach type read about a couple of characters who need a change in their lives, then pick up Whisper of Love. I think you will fall in love with this family just as much as I did.
reads, and always family oriented.
