unForgivable is the second book in Sara Hubbard’s inCapable World series and to be honest I don’t believe this is a standalone novel. I believe inCapable does need to be read first before stepping into this book.
I enjoyed unForgivable but I have to be honest and say it wasn’t my favorite. I thought book 1 was better. I think it is because I really didn’t know what to expect from this book and the story we got wasn’t where I thought the author would take these characters.
I say this isn’t a standalone, because even though we follow a new couple, I felt like the storyline was a continuation of book 1. I think readers would be lost if you don’t get the background of book 1 first. To me this book gave us the answers to some of the lingering questions we are left with after reading inCapable.
This book is truly an enjoyable read and it just reminds me of why Sara Hubbard has a fan in me. I have read many books by her and I have enjoyed every one of them. As with her other books, Sara’s writing was really good. She knows how to give us an intriguing storyline and Characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. I truly enjoy her writing style. She knows how to keep the story going without rushing it or slowing it down to where it drags. This book was filled with steam, mystery and even some suspense. She kept me interested all the way through. She even managed to surprise me here and there.
In this book we follow Beth and Damien. We first meet Beth in inCapable, she is the niece of Mona and the friend of Evie. Beth is a broken girl, who uses booze and men to help forget her problems. That is until things take a tragic turn for her and she realizes that booze and men can’t help her anymore. Worried about her own life, she turns to an expected Hero…..Damien. He is an amazing Hero. I swooned over him on many occasions. I loved that he stood by Beth no matter what. I can’t really say much more on the storyline because it would spoil this book for other readers. Just know Damien is a man you WANT to meet 😉
unForgivable is a story about loss, heartache, love and forgiveness. This book had steam, romance, mystery and suspense. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Sara Hubbard’s. If you love a book that is about redemption and will have you on the edge of your seat, then give this book a try….I think you’ll like it 🙂
Sara Hubbard is a romantic fiction author. She loves alpha males and the sweet, sassy women who make them believe in change. Sara lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two children (four if you count her husband and her needy labradoodle) and works as registered nurse.
After spending four years caring for her mother, twenty-two year old Evie Crane is starting over with a new job in a new city. Unfortunately, her new life involves working for a woman with close ties to the mob. When a short walk home turns into tragedy and Evie is left broken and beaten, a mob hitman comes to her rescue. In his debt, she feels a bond to him and wants to help him as much as he helped her, but getting close to a criminal brings her more chaos than she bargains for.
Declan Lewis grew up on the streets until taken under the wing of a man with a soft spot for a child he never had. However, bringing her into his life means bringing her into his world, a mistake that might prove fatal. He wants to be the man she deserves, but to give her what she needs, he’ll have to change.
