He may own a candy company, but this wealthy bachelor is no Willy Wonka.

Sugar Rush Candy Company CEO Luke Stone is a devoted businessman who doesn’t do relationships. He does short-term affairs with clearly defined rules. But when a sexy bohemian angel propositions him in a bar, Luke is tempted to want more.

Polly Lockhart is horrified when she wakes the morning after her twenty-third birthday to realize she made a fool of herself with a sinfully delicious man. She tells herself she doesn’t have time for romance anyway, as she’s fighting to keep her mother’s beloved bakery afloat and finish her culinary studies. That all changes when her class tours the famed Sugar Rush headquarters, and Polly collides with her dream man again.

As she succumbs to their hot attraction, Polly soon realizes her bakery isn’t the only thing that needs saving. Luke, driven and unyielding, will burn out unless someone convinces him to taste the sweetness of life. But can Polly remember this sugar rush is only temporary?

REVIEW :

~ 4 Polly Peach Stars ~

Sweet Dreams is my first Nina Lane novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although how can you not enjoy a story when you mix a HOT CEO, candy and pastries together. Three of my favorite things 😉

Sweet Dreams is the first in Nina Lane’s Newest Series. It is a standalone novel. Each book will focus on a new couple. I thought this was a fun and entertaining storyline and the characters were well developed and very relatable. The flow of the story was done really well and I thought the pace was good. I did think that at times the author got a little to detailed about things going on and that slowed the pace of the story down a little bit, but I still found this to be an enjoyable read.

In this book we meet Luke Stone, CEO of Sugar Rush Candy Company and Polly Lockhart, the Owner of her late mom’s Bakery, Wild Child. Polly is struggling to keep her bakery afloat. Coming off a break up she agrees to go out for her birthday and let loose. This is where she meets Luke, but not knowing who he is. She propositions him and things don’t go well. Little did she know she would cross paths with him again. Polly and Luke were determined to fight their attraction to each other, but Luke feels he needs to help Polly with her bakery. Their story really is an opposites attract kind of story. What they don’t realize that they are more alike than they even know. I thought Polly complimented Luke well.

We also meet some other characters in this book. Some I really liked and others not so much. (Julia) She also kind of set up the premise for the next book, between Hannah (Polly’s sister) and Evan (Luke’s brother). I look forward to their story and where this author will take these characters.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for that easy, little drama, fun and entertaining love story. Make sure you have some sweets next to you while you read this book….you’ll be craving them as you read this story. 🙂
