Craft beer and the sexy men who brew it.
A beautiful neighbor. A complete stranger. That’s all she was when I moved in next door.
Adelyn Maxwell is my neighbor but she’s no girl next door. The more I come to know her, the more I discover she’s a good girl with a lovely dark side. And maybe I don’t want her to stay on her side of the fence.
I want to disturb the rhythm of her pulse.
I want to see the way her hair spills on the bed when she lies beneath me.
I want her to teach me the dirty pretty things she desires behind closed doors. And she does.
But mostly I want to leave my mark on the most intimate, untouched part of her body. Her heart.
A seemingly insignificant intersection of our lives neither of us recalls suddenly becomes a pivotal moment in our future. We aren’t strangers at all. And our paths aren’t crossing for the first time.
These twists and turns of fate will become one of two things: a wrecking ball to tear us apart or the connection to bond us together forever.

~ 5 Thorn and Max Stars ~

Well it’s official…..I have found my all time favorite Georgia Cates novel. I have loved everything she has written in the past but Stout has surpassed them all in my opinion!!

This book had everything I look for in a 5 star read. It had romance, laughter, drama, heartache and even some mystery. Georgia touched on all my emotions while reading this book. I truly devoured this book and had an extremely hard time putting it down. The story line was fun and entertaining but also touched on some more serious topics that tore at my heart. I thought I had an idea of where this story was going to go, but I was completely wrong and Georgia was able to throw some shockers into this book, that took me by surprise.

Stout is the second book in Georgia’s Lovibond Series. It can be read as a stand alone, but I would suggest reading Tap first just because you meet Stout (Oliver) in that book. Plus it will give you some background into Oliver and his sister Lawrence, who we see in this book. As with all of Georgia’s books, she has created a fantastic storyline and characters who you can’t help but connect with. Her stories are fast paced and flow effortlessly. Her books never drag or feel rushed.

In Stout we follow the story of Oliver (Lawrence’s brother) and Adelyn. This book starts with Oliver moving into a new house, this is how he meets Adelyn. She is his new neighbor. These two hit it off right away and I loved that their connection wasn’t rushed in any manner. It was fun watching their friendship grow and turn into so much more. Oliver and Adelyn had so much in common. Both of them had hard pasts. Oliver didn’t grow up in the best of conditions, his parents were abusive towards him and Lawrence until she was 10 and he was 6 and then they were removed from the house and the Thorn’s adopted them. Adelyn was in a very abusive relationship and barely made it out alive. Their pasts are what bond them together, but there was so much more to their stories. I can’t say more, you’ll have to read this book to get the full story.

I loved that we got to see more of Tap and Wren (from book 1) and that we also got more of a story about Porter (his book is next) I loved that we got to see more of Wren’s BFF’s Kelsey and Liv. They truly know how to bring the comedic effect to a tense situation 🙂 Everyone should have friends like them. We also got to meet some new characters Kristin and Jill. They are Adelyn’s BFF’s. They were a great support system for Adelyn.

I would 100% recommend this book to anyone!! Georgia has outdone herself on this one. If you are already a fan of Georgia’s then you don’t want to miss this book and if Georgia is a new author to you, this is a perfect book to start with. This is a MUST READ and will be going on my Best of 2016 shelf!!!

Georgia resides in rural Mississippi with her wonderful husband, Jeff, and their two beautiful daughters. She spent fourteen years as a labor and delivery nurse before she decided to pursue her dream of becoming an author and hasn’t looked back yet.

When she’s not writing, she’s thinking about writing. When she’s being domestic, she’s listening to her iPod and visualizing scenes for her current work in progress. Every story coming from her always has a song to inspire it.
