~ 5 Stars ~

I have turned into a huge Carly Phillips fan…her books just suck me in!

Going Down Easy was an enjoyable and quick read. It is the first in Carly’s new Bad Boy Billionaire series. This book is a standalone novel. I found the storyline engaging and entertaining, so I never felt that the story dragged on. I felt the pace and flow was spot on. I will warn you that this book does touch on a serious topic of Mental Health and how it affects those who live with it and those who have loved ones suffering from it. I thought Carly did a fabulous job at writing about this topic.

This is my third book by Carly Phillips and I am a fan for life. I have definitely fallen in love with Carly’s writing style, creative stories and lovable characters. Plus she knows how to write one steamy love story 😉

One thing I love about Carly’s books, is that she gets to the heart of the story right from the start. From page one she sucks her readers in and doesn’t bog down her stories with a lot of build up or information that the reader doesn’t need. She also doesn’t overload the story with a lot of excess drama. The drama that was created in this story was because of the demons that both Kaden and Lexie needed to overcome. The drama is pretty short lived in this story.

In Going Down Easy we meet Kaden and Lexie. Kaden is a Wealthy Bachelor who started a company with some of his friends. Kaden also suffers from ADHD and Anxiety, so he has found it difficult to keep a personal assistant…..Until Lexie. Lexie is the daughter of one of the major investors of Kaden’s company and is need of a job. So Luke (Kaden’s business partner) hires her as Kaden’s PA. What I loved about Lexie is how she was able to stand up to Kaden and put him in his place, but was also sensitive to his personal struggles, because her sister is Bi-Polar and her mom suffers from severe depression. I truly enjoyed watching these two grow together and how they were able to support each other when they needed it. You definitely want to meet Kaden and Lexie.

I am also looking forward to reading Luke and Derek’s stories. Those are the next two books in this series. They are the other Billionaires we meet in this book. Kaden’s business partners.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Carly Phillips. If you like a quick, sweet and sexy read then this is the book to pick up and enjoy. It will leave you with a smile on your face.
