Readers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Bared to You will savor a visit to Club Inferno, the erotic playground where glitz and glamour mix with leather and whips.
Deep in the shadows of her exclusive fashion resort, Couture, Colleen Bryant presides over a much more intimate world: Club Inferno. The successful businesswoman and sex instructor has built an empire that caters to the BDSM elite, but now she finds herself longing for something a bit more ordinary: a man to love. She’s not sure how to find someone who will accept what she does for a living—or the kinks that drive her wild—until her old flame, ex-pro football player Chase Fairwood, comes back in her life.
There’s no woman as hot, sexy, or exciting as Colleen—and Chase knows it. He also knows he’s man enough to play her games, and to give as good as he gets. His return to Club Inferno reignites Colleen’s scorching demands, along with a new determination to test his resolve. Soon he’s competing against a rival Dom to brand Colleen as his own. But Chase has a secret weapon: the burning desire to offer his body—and his heart—in sweet surrender.
Fever is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

~ 5 Domme Stars ~
Fever is the third book in Jamie Schmidt’s Club Inferno series and I have to say it was my favorite. Like the other books this story sucked me in and kept me intrigued throughout the whole book. What I think made this book stand out for me was the fact that we got to see the other side of a BDSM relationship. What I mean when I say that is that we got to see it from a Domme’s POV and not a Dom. I have never read a story about a dominatrix before and to me this was a refreshing change in this genre.
As with the other books in this series, this was an enjoyable read for me. It was fun, sexy and intriguing. This book was based around the BDSM scene, but it also had another storyline built into it.
This one was a second chance love story. The Hero and heroine were lovers in the past and after 10 years are reunited. What I truly loved about the heroine Colleen, was that she wasn’t a push over. I know she was a Domme, but even outside of the club she didn’t let Chase just walk all over her and persuade her into something she wasn’t ready for. With that I loved Chase’s determination to win Colleen back at all costs. He does make some MAJOR mistakes in this story, but he wasn’t afraid to then crawl back on his hands and knees to beg for forgiveness. We met Colleen back in Book 1 (Heat) and then again in Book 2 ( Longing ) and I loved her character from the beginning. She was a strong and confident woman, who knew what she wanted. She is the owner of Couture and Club Inferno (Hidden sex club below Couture) I liked that we get to see both sides of this club and her life. We met Chase at the end of Book 2, when he decided to pop back into Colleen’s life and try to win her back. The road to a HEA for these two was not a smooth road, there were many ups and downs but it was definitely worth it in the end 🙂
I enjoyed that we got to see the other couples from the series in this story. It was great seeing how they were getting along and moving on with their lives. With that said this book can be read as a standalone, I just wouldn’t recommend it. I think you need to read the first two books because you will get the full low down on Colleen before reading her story. You get to know why she is the way she is. I said to myself at the end of Book 2 that I thought there would be an interesting story for Colleen and I wasn’t wrong.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for that fun, easy, and sexy second chance romance book. If you aren’t a fan of BDSM, I don’t think you have to worry about that too much with this book or series. I don’t feel it pushes any boundaries that would make a person feel uncomfortable, (in my opinion) I think everyone should give the Club Inferno series a chance….I mean have you seen the covers of these books….YUM 😉
