Aubrey Evans is living every author’s dream; her sizzling romance novel is being turned into a blockbuster film. She would be celebrating this momentous event, if she wasn’t busy fighting over every tiny production detail with the maddeningly cavalier director, Kole Camden.
When news of their heated rivalry hits the gossip columns, drastic measures must be taken to save their sinking project. In an elaborate PR hoax, she is publicly linked to Greyson Meyers, the swoon-worthy star of her movie. A whirl-wind love affair is staged for the couple to mirror the steamy chapters of her own books.
Can the introverted author resist the charms of Hollywood’s sexiest leading man? Or will love find her in the City of Angels?

Adapted for Film is the first book I have read by Stacey Rourke. I chose to read this book because of the blurb and I have to say I’m glad I took a chance on this book. It was an enjoyable read.
Adapted to Film was a funny, witty and lighthearted book that gave us an inside look to what goes into turning a novel into a movie. This was a pretty quick read, I was able to read it in less than a days time. It flowed well and moved along at a good pace. I did think the ending was a little abrupt and I would’ve liked a couple more chapters, so that the epilogue was a little more believable to me. But this didn’t deter me from enjoying this book. I was a little surprised at the direction of the book the author took. She kind of gave us a different spin on a love triangle. I can’t explain too much without giving spoilers, it just wasn’t what I expected when I chose to read it. If you don’t like triangles I don’t think this book would be a problem for you to read. It’s not a traditional one, so I think it is worth giving a try.
I thought all the characters in this story were very likable. They made me laugh, swoon, and even made me mad sometimes. I loved the banter between Aubrey and her BFF Tandy. They had me laughing throughout the who book. I thought both Kole and Greyson were both fantastic characters.
I will say I was happy with how the book ended, I just think there needed to be a couple more chapters in there to help build up to the ending. It seemed like somethings were missing. You’ll understand more once you read the book.
So if you are looking for that actor based love story that is a fun, clean and witty afternoon read…..then this is the book for you.
